Guwahati, 21 August: The All Assam Provincialise High School Tutors’ (Teachers’) Association addressed a press conference at the Dispur Press Club demanding solutions to various issues of association’s on Wednesday. 

The organizers of All Assam Provincialise High School Tutors’ (Teachers’) Association’s criticized the government for not taking any steps to solve the problems of associations and also threatened to launch a violent agitation if the problems of the association are not resolved soon. They demanded the state government to take positive steps as 50 percent of the graduates of privatized teachers who have worked without pay for 20-30 years and B.Sc. 10 lakh of gratuity announced in front of 35,000 teachers at recruitment ceremonies, B.Sc. Cancel 50 percent of the graduation examination of B. Ed passed Head Teachers and Associate Teachers and grant full teacher status, pay full salary to privatized tutors (teachers) until promoted to full level teachers, pay full salary to non-teaching staff , payment of extended arrears till January and February 2021 and take positive steps in the management of schools through formation of S.M.D.C to expedite the resolution of issues regarding Base Schools.

The All Assam Provincialise High School Tutors’ (Teachers’) Association president Atul Chandra Deka, Executive President Sushobhan Chakraborty and General Secretary Rafiqul Islam and Bipin Bharali attended the press conference.
