As the speculations behind Raina's return kept on growing, Suresh Raina today confirmed that his "personal reason" behind return to India is "a brutal attack on his relatives in Punjab.
Earlier, even some reputed news agencies "doubted" that his return is over a "hotel row" which appears to be completely false after the player's statement today.In his statement he said that some "unknown" criminals mercilessly slaughtered his Uncle to death and his bua (paternal aunt) and cousins were severely injured.
One of his cousins also passed away while his aunt is still fighting with her injuries.Taking to Twitter, the player urged to Punjab Police and Punjab CM Amrinder Singh to ensure justice to his family as soon as possible.
