Students for long have been demanding postponement of JEE and NEET, but it is the BJP that now faces the test with the issue snowballing into political mudslinging. The first casualty for the ruling party seems to be Prime Minister Narendra Modi's August 30 'Mann Ki Baat' which has garnered huge amounts of dislikes. The BJP said on Monday that over 98 per cent of the 'dislikes' for the YouTube video posted by the party of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme came from abroad and alleged involvement of the Congress in this.
There is huge spike in activity by Rahul Gandhi's favourite Turkish bots! What is this Turkish obsession, Rahul?""These dislikes are not the responses of genuine viewers. A lot of these are fake handles. They first got together to trend hashtags against holding the exams. They then turned their focus on the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme" the IT cell member said.A senior BJP leader added, "This is not surprising. A few days back, a well-coordinated effort was carried out with 2.5 million responses to hashtags against holding the exams."
The Congress shot back. "Everyone knows BJP is fountainhead of organised disinformation & hate. Despite real student distress, Malviya and company are busy trying to spin students' genuine dissent as outsiders & paid people instead of being empathetic," tweeted Ruchi Gupta, Congress joint secretary and NSUI in-charge.
