Guwahati: Railway loco pilot brutally murdered near Assam jatiya bidyalay.

A heinous murder was reported from near the New Guwahati Railway Station where an assistant loco pilot of railway was brutally beaten to death by miscreants.

Abhijeet Anand, who was in his mid thirties, was beaten by some unknown person while going for duty at about 9:30 PM on 7th October.

Dinesh Medhi, SI of New Guwahati Railway Police reported, "He was found dead near a reservation counter located near Assam Jatiya Bidyalay. There is a no-man-land of the railways that is used only by railway employees. It a place where the empty trains are halted. 

The details of the accident are not yet know, but his face is completely smashed and there are injury marks in the back of the head and other body parts. He must have been attacked by iron rods."

A case has been registered under Noonmati Police Station. Abhijeet Anand hails from Bihar and was a resident of Noonmati area in Guwahati.

Until the time of filling this report, no one has been arrested in connection to the incident, as informed by Noonmati police station. The body of the deceased has been handed over to his family members who came from Bihar. FIR has been lodged and the case is being investigated.
