More than 10,000 people Affected In Fresh wave of Floods in Assam"s Nagaon District.

Assam: More than 10,000 people of at least 10 villages have been affected in fresh wave of flood in Assam's Nagaon district.

The water level of Borpani river and many other rivers are flowing above danger level mark following incessant rains in past couple of days.

On Friday, the flood waters of Borpani river had breached a big portion of embankment and submerged at least 10 villages under Kampur revenue circle in the central Assam district.

The flood waters have submerged Madhabpara, Kachua, Longjap, Juripar, Garubat and many areas and several hectares of crop lands.

Many villagers have been forced to leave their houses after the flood waters entered into their houses.

The flood affected people have taken shelter in safer places.
