Ghaziabad robbery inspired by Hrithik Roshan’s thief-in-disguise act in ‘Dhoom

Hrithik Roshan's act as a thief in Dhoom 2 movie has served as inspiration for a Ghaziabad resident to commit multiple robberies including in trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express.

The accused has been identified Raghu Khosla, who allegedly robbed many passengers in trains in the guise of a tea seller and godman.According to a report in Indian Express, the accused Raghu Khosla was arrested by Delhi Police along with his other accomplice, who is a constable in Uttar Pradesh police.

The police constable has been identified as 30-year-old Sreekant.According to DCP (Outer North) Gaurav Sharma, Khosla was arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly robbing an SUV at Karnal bypass. A man was robbed of his Hyundai Creta, mobile phone by three men on August 17 following which an FIR was filed."GPS was installed in the robbed car through which we traced it to Ghaziabad and scanned CCTV footage to zero in on the accused, Sreekant and Khosla.

They were then traced and arrested," the report quoted DCP Gaurav Sharma as saying.

According to Delhi Police officials, the other accused Sreekant got recruited into UP police in 2011. Sreekant has a four-member gang and he used to give them cover after every robbery. Police said that after disposing of the robbed items, the UP police constable would wear his uniform and helped his accomplices reach a safe place.During the course of interrogation the accused told that they were inspired by Hrithik Roshan’s Dhoom 2 Character where he disguised himself to commit robberies.
