HARASSMENT ON INDIAN CITIZENS IN THENAME OF ILLEGAL BANGLADESH IMMIGRANTSAT GUGAMUKH

Ashraful Hussain, Guwahati, 18 October, 2016: The people who were arrested from Gugamukh (Dhemaji district) on monday following their dressings and look, recently got released.They were released after submitting the citizenship documents in Gugamukh police outpost. The laborers from lower Assam have been targeted and alleged them as foreigners or Bangladeshi in such areas. Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) leaders and members caught 11 people from Gugamukh Charialiwho were coming from Dhubri and Goalpara district, alleged them as doubtful Bangladeshis and handed them over to the police on monday morning.This act was in progress in the leadership of Sarat Sutia who is the adviser of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad, Gugamukh local committee. The people who were handed over to the police are identified as Julhas Ali(29), Nayasan Shaikh (18) and Kismat Ali(20) who are the residents of Bamunibhita village under Lakhipur Outpost of Goalpar District, similarly alsan Ali(30) from Superbhita village under the same outpost. Kader Ali(18), Bahadur Ali(21), Anuwar Hussain (17), Nur Islam (17) are from Katlamari village under the Fakirganj outpost of Dhubri district Jalil Khan(19), Israt Ali(18) from Dingdinga village under the same outpost And Samsher Ali (26) from Jaleshar under the Lakhipur outpost of Goalpara district. It is to be noted that such incidents are enhanced due to the negligence of government and administration.While Condemning the incident Advocate Aman Wadud said that no primary investigation is being retained in the issue of framing the Indian citizens as Bangladeshi and labeling the poor-uneducated people as foreigners, the same circumstance is retained in Border security force too,and the outcome of which is tragic.
"We have been fighting such cases in the court, similarly this is a tragic and condemnable incident. We are thinking to approach the
court in this regard" — Aman Wadud added.
