Instead of agonizing over the fate of 'Happy Bhag Jayegi', Ali Fazal is very keen to know the reaction of the audience to his role as Guddu in the movie. "I don't see any of my movies and instead believe in getting feedbacks from people who watch my movies,'' says the effervescent actor who will be seen sharing screen space withJudi Dench in a Hollywood movie. Fazal will be playing Abdul Karim, Queen Victoria's alleged lover.
In 'Happy Bhag Jayegi', Fazal plays the role of Guddu, who helps Happy (Diana Penty) run away because she is getting married to a corporator against her wishes, only to realise that things didn't work out they way they were expecting. Fazal's previous roles as an engineering student in '3 Idiots' and as a friend in 'Bobby Jasoos', got him good reviews but he looks more happy doing the role of Guddu in 'Happy Bhag Jayegi.' "The movie is a clean comedy and you can watch it with your family,'' says the actor. According to the actor, the most difficult scene he had in the entire movie was when he had to act drunk because he had to avoid overacting.
Fazal is eagerly looking forward to the clearance of the movie in Pakistan. "The movie won't have any problem getting clearance there. It is a very cute movie and can be enjoyed by people of all age groups. Moreover, we have a good fan base inPakistan,'' Fazal was quoted as saying.
Despite the plot of the movie being set in Pakistan, the shooting was done in Chandigarh, Patiala and Amritsar.
